Georgia Amendments on the Ballot

As of May 1, 2026, three statewide ballot measures were certified for the ballot in Georgia for the November 3, 2026 General Election.

Increase Acre Limit for Agriculture and Timber Conservation Use Property Tax Classification Amendment Agriculture; Forestry; Tax exemptions Increase the maximum acreage of agricultural and timber property that can be classified as bona fide conservation use property, which is taxed at 40% of the land's value, from 2,000 acres to 4,000 acres
Require Nonpartisan Elections for Probate Judges Amendment Judiciary Require that probate judges be elected on a nonpartisan basis

Potential Ballot Measures

The Georgia Homestead Exemption for Surviving Spouses and Children of Disabled Veterans (GA House Bill 52) may be on the ballot in Georgia for the November 3, 2026 General Election. The bill passed the House in March 2025, and passed the Senate in April 2026. The Governor is required to sign the bill in order for it to be referred to the ballot.
